Vanguard print design system
I contributed to creating a new enterprise-wide print design system, to update a collection of printed matter that all looked the same regardless of intent. I influenced the project team to think of the printed matter as part of an entire client experience that would benefit from a broad kit of parts. We worked together to establish a grid and typographic hierarchy, which became part of the communications architecture, allowing design teams to create various print collateral that worked as a cohesive, consistent system—a DSM for print.
I coached designers to break out of the existing waterfall process, to collaborate with editorial colleagues at the onset of projects to determine the concept, content and imagery that speak to select audiences.
